Test Track & Western
I'm not sure how long it will be until I can run trains on my proposed layout but I figured it was too long, so I built the benchwork for my Test Track & Western Railroad. It will have two loops, the outside one will have a 3% grade up and down. Should provide me something to get my rolling stock in running shape and to get my DCC decoders installed and tested while I'm building my layout.
Update: I used flex track on the inner loop and handlaid the upper loop using code 70 rail and connected the two loops with manual Tomalco turnouts. I really like the hand laid rail and intend to build my layout with it.
